'Late Expectations' follows India, a high school senior living in Brooklyn, who's just gotten a full scholarship to Brown University. A model student, good daughter, fun best friend and loving girlfriend, she seems to be living the teenage dream. However, it is all a lie. Internally, she is tormented, and hides a secret that threatens to end her most important relationships. She finally gains the courage to reveal her double life but discovers something that shatters her world completely.
This interview was a first for me, simply because the writer, star and co-producer of the new short film, 'Late Expectations' is from not only the Caribbean but from my island home Trinidad.
It was a pleasure to sit down and chat about not only her film but her budding her career. The following is the complete audio interview.

Raven’s Touch marks Soul Kiss Films’ fourth feature and stars Dreya Weber (The Gymnast, A Marine Story) and Traci Dinwiddie (The Notebook, Elena Undone, Supernatural TV Series).
Raven’s Touch had its world premiere in Los Angeles on August 1 and will be followed by its northern California premiere in San Francisco on August 6 at 7:00pm at the Victoria Theater.
Written by Dreya Weber, produced by Marina Rice Bader, and co-directed by both, the film tells the story of two women who find healing in the most unexpected place. Blaming herself for a tragic accident, Raven Michaels (Dreya Weber) secludes herself at a remote family cabin, wandering through the woods on the verge of a mental breakdown. Nearby, Kate Royce (Traci Dinwiddie) takes her two teenagers camping far from distractions - then their worlds collide.
Out With Dad debuts teaser episode and launches Patreon
Highly anticipated forth season premieres this month
May 5, 2015
Out With Dad returns with the debut of its forth season teaser episode 4.00 "Awkward Moment with Dad". The short episode concludes with the message "new episode every month", heralding a different approach to the production and distribution of this narrative web series. As outlined on the official website's "When is the next episode?" page, the traditional approach has been to block write, film and edit all episodes of a season at once. Fans are eager to see more, and don't want to wait. The creators of Out With Dad are responding by producing Season 4 episodes on a monthly basis.
Julie Kalceff and is best known for her work on the 2011 web-series, Newtown Girls. However, it is with SFN that she has had the most success, as the series is now a bona-fide world-wide phenomenon gaining over 3.7 million views within one year.
The quick release of back-to-back seasons followed by the current third season, she has broken the mole of making a successful lesbian web series. Exceptional quality in production, writing and acting, SFN has quickly ascended to to be whispered in the same light as some of best lesbian web dramas ever.
The chemistry between the characters has pitted viewer against viewer, who have in turn created fandom forums with the usual divisional teams. Which team are you on? Darcy/Steph? Steph/Emily? Kristen/Emily? Kristen/Darcy? I'm partial to Emily/Kristen myself.
The following are a few questions I had the privilege of asking Julie Kalceff, who is also the writer/director and producer of the series. Included in the interview were two of its stars Rosie Lourde (Darcy) and Sarah de Possesse (Steph).
